Finally...

So we finally have internet at our new home. My boyfriend and I realized how much we really depend on  the interwebs... it's sad. :D

But the great news about having the awesomeness of internet is that I will be able to update  now! With the close of 3 courses and Christmas right around the corner, its all holiday gift crocheting from here on out! I've already finished 4 presents but so much more to go...

Oh! I completely forgot to announce, with the help of my fairy god-father... (Thanks Uncle Ed!) We have a name for a new scarf that will be arriving to the site later on this month. Maybe I'll keep everyone on the edge of their seats for a little until I have a picture of the scarf. :D I'll post it in a couple of days.

Well it's off to work for me! Enjoy the rest of your day and keep a smile on your face! :D

Oh so busy... In a very good way! :D

Hey everyone! So we've been busy, even though you might not be able to see it. I decided to completely change the website! Not only that, but Stitch Eternity will be available soon on Facebook, Etsy, and in stores! Well one amazing local store (to be announced)! I have been working on so many scarves lately. Right now, I'm at at seven different patterns all in a variety of colors!

With the holidays knocking at the door, it's starting to get a little crazy. I'm making my list for Santa and making sure the spinning wheel and digital camera are numbers 1 and 2. It's more of a wish list for after the new year since I will be moving this month as well. So much to do, so little time. Can I add that I have finals too? Oh goodness....

OH! I started spinning my own yarn! (Don't pay attention to the blue strings... had to use them to tie off the yarn. :D) I'm in love with spinning. Almost as much as crocheting! I already dyed this a holiday red and crocheted a holiday cowl. I'll have to post that picture next time. Fingers crossed I'll be able to visit a yarn shop soon and try out the wheel I've been looking at before purchasing. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I'm thinking about getting the Ashford Kiwi. I've heard great reviews about it saying it's perfect for beginners.

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! I have so much to be thankful for this year. Most importantly, to be able to share each day with the love of my life. Without him, nothing I do would be possible. What do you have to be thankful for this year? (Even though it's a little past Thanksgiving, we should be thankful every day in my opinion :D)

Newsletter Idea- The Stitch Report!

For the last couple of months, I have been trying to create products for inventory to launch the website. Now, I just need to have the items photographed and uploaded! (I'm thinking for Christmas this year, I'm going to look into buying a nice camera for myself! Any ideas?)

In the meantime, I'm working on launching a newsletter for the website. Maybe a sign up for giveaways, monthly coupons, new products just for the mailing list! I really want to make this beneficial for everyone! If you are interested in signing up for the newsletter, click here!

The Granny Square Scarf

Well I was able to take a picture with my horrible camera and it actually turned out ok, which was very surprising!

I finished this scarf earlier this week and am in love with how it turned out! It took me about three days to finish. I started just crocheting squares not knowing what the end product would be, and decided about 6 squares in that I wanted to make a scarf.

Inspiration...

I haven't made any blog posts lately, my only reason is I became distracted by making products. In my opinion, I believe that is a good distraction. Great news is that I have found someone to help me with photography of all my products, so you'll be seeing those soon! Very exciting.

I have decided that until then and possibly even after I start uploading my own work, I will post some of my inspiration. Any photos that I find on the web that give me some inspiration. Once I have my own pictures I will most likely post those and what I found that inspired me. Anything from textures, nature, or crochet patterns I find on the internet.

For now, I'll just post a picture of a simple baby blanket that I absolutely love. (The baby is quite adorable too! :D)

This pattern is similar to a blanket I have created. It's very simple but I love the detail of the stars in the white squares. Very cute.

Preparation!

Today, I had a day off from work and was planning on finishing up the baby blanket I started earlier this week. With only a few rows left to complete, I decided that it was a good time to go through one of our many closets in our home and finish our move in (we moved in this January). I unpacked 4 boxes and cleaned everything out of the closet in our office! So now, it's official, I have an area for supplies and tools, inventory, and current projects. I feel so organized!!

I also spoke to my mom, Jennifer, earlier today. She is going to be helping me with making all of our handmade items like scarves and baby items. It's so amazing to see my family and friends help me with this goal of mine. I am truly blessed to have all of the support! Thank you!!!!!

Well, I guess now would be a good time to finish that baby blanket. Check out the website for updates to the recent projects page! I plan to upload some projects I have in my home tonight. Wish me luck!

Ran out of yarn!!!!!

Well, tonight I ran out of yarn for coasters and place mats... So I decided I would work on a creative stitch! I started a baby blanket and so far, its turning out great!

Tomorrow will consist of researching and more stitching! I think I found a website to purchase all of the yarn and supplies I will need. Finding that has helped tremendously.

Coasters

Last night consisted of my fiance catching up on his TV shows and me crocheting 16 coasters. Then staying up until 3am setting up this blog, our Facebook page, and our Twitter account. (We already have our first follower!)

Preparing all of these accounts, creating the inventory for the website, and tweaking the website is making me more impatient to get the product up and share it with the world.

Well, it's off to my day job now! I hope everyone has a great day!
